Master Kong: a leading position in the Chinese food industry

Master Kong Holdings Co. Ltd operates as a subsidiary of Taiwanese-owned Ting Hsin International Group and produces and sells instant noodles, beverages and cakes.
Thanks to Fu Jen Catholic University, we had the opportunity to visit one of the production plants of Master Kong and even took part in a tasting session.

Master Kong is especially famous for its production of instant noodles which are precooked and dried noodles sold in a packet with flavoring powder and seasoning oil. These instant noodles only need to be soaked in boiling water before the customer can eat them and consist in a very convenient and simple meal available in small stores and supermarkets.
Master Kong has the largest shopper base in China with its products being bought by 91% of households. In addition to this, Master Kong is the brand the most purchased in China, with an average of 9 purchase per year. In 2011, Master Kong became the second most valued brand in China, according to TNS.
